01 / A little about me

Ryan Clark

A bit about how
I got here.

I got into programming after being furloughed during COVID. It wasn't a fun year, but it gave me time to figure out what I actually wanted to do. I went back to school, ended up loving it more than I expected and finished my B.S. in Computer Science at Oregon State.

Now I work at Tandem Diabetes Care, where I build backend services and APIs in C#/.NET Core, own CI/CD pipelines and work on event-driven systems using Azure Service Bus. I also spend time on the frontend when a feature needs it — mostly React and TypeScript.

When I'm not programming, you can find me brewing specialty coffee, jogging, or spending time in nature with my daughter.

Currently exploring AI-assisted developer tooling, mobile development and thoughtfully designed Node.js backends that are fast, reliable and easy to evolve.

Legal Guardian Survey App

Guides users through a legal guardian survey, validates responses and generates a completed PDF. Built with full end-to-end test coverage using Playwright BDD/Cucumber to catch validation and PDF-generation bugs before they ship. Frontend is React, TypeScript and Vite; a Node.js backend is in progress to move validation and PDF logic server-side.
